Carpe Iter offers three variants of the Lightweight Holder:
- Lightweight Holder Active
- Lightweight Holder Passive
- Lightweight Holder – Bare Metal
Lightweight Holder – Bare Metal
The Bare Metal variant serves as a replacement chassis if your holder is physically damaged while your electronics (pogo pin board and M8 cable) remain intact. You can transfer your existing electronics directly into the new metal frame.
Included Accessories: Two keys for the integrated lock.
Important: Inspect your cable and connector brackets before reassembly. If they are cracked or broken, replace them as well. These brackets secure the M8 cable and prevent twisting or strain on the connector.
Lightweight Holder Active
The Active holder supports charging via spring-loaded pogo pins, the M8 power cable, or both simultaneously.
Recommended Application: Larger four-stroke and multi-cylinder motorcycles that produce lower vibration levels.
Warning: Do not use the Active holder on two-stroke or lightweight single-cylinder motorcycles. High vibration levels can cause intermittent charging and physical damage to both the pogo pins and the contact pads on the CI Pad.
Maintenance: Pogo pin contacts require regular cleaning and greasing as detailed in the user manual.
Lightweight Holder Passive
The Passive holder provides charging exclusively via the threaded M8 power cable. This is the recommended solution for off-road and rally riding due to the resilience of the threaded physical connection.
Cable Management:
- Small Bracket: Secures the M8 cable against the holder to eliminate movement and vibration strain.
- Large Bracket: Stores the M8 cable when the CI Pad is dismounted. Seal the cable with the protective cap and press it into the bracket.
Included Accessories
Both the Active and Passive complete holder kits include:
- M8 power charging cable
- Two lock keys
- Cable and connector mounting brackets
