If the Adventure Controler is connected to the battery, or to an always powered auxiliary outlet on the bike, then the controller will enter idle mode after several hours of inactivity. In idle mode, the controller cannot connect automatically, and you need to wake it up first.
You can wake the controller up by pressing the "Enter" button, after which it will connect immediately (No need to reconnect the controller through the Controller app).
