Why is battery indicator acting up

Known Battery Indicator Issues

There are two known battery indicator behaviors that may appear as malfunctions:

1. Brief Value Fluctuation (Indicator Overwrite)

The battery level indicator may change value for a split second. This occurs because the Carpe Iter custom battery level indicator is overwriting the stock Android indicator.

Note: This visual behavior is normal and isolated primarily to Android 9 devices. It does not impact actual charging performance or battery life.

2. Percentage Discrepancy and Calibration Routine

The displayed battery percentage may decrease rapidly while voltage readings in the Power & Charge tab of the Carpe Manager app remain stable. Alternatively, the percentage indicator may remain unchanged even when the Pad is actively charging with a positive current readout.

This reflects the battery level calibration procedure. For detailed information on this process, refer to this post.
