Replacing the Cradle Gasket

The original silicone gasket on the Caretta cradle can be replaced with a microporous rubber gasket supplied in the kit or provided by Carpe Iter Support.

Note: No modifications are needed on kits dispatched on June 5th, 2026 or later—those kits already include updated cradle parts to ensure reliable Caretta connectivity.

Step 1: Remove the original silicone gasket

Carefully peel away and remove the original silicone part from the cradle surface.

Step 2: Prepare the microporous rubber seal

Prepare the new adhesive microporous rubber seal for installation.

Step 3: Align and position the seal

Carefully align and place the seal onto the cradle. Take extra care during alignment, as the adhesive layer adheres quickly to contact surfaces.

Step 4: Secure the seal

Press the rubber seal firmly across the entire contact surface to ensure a tight, even bond.
