How Water Can Enter the CI Pad
The CI Pad is engineered as a fully sealed unit; the enclosure parts are bonded during manufacturing to prevent liquid ingress.
Under normal operating conditions, the only potential path for water to enter the device is through improperly seated or unsecured port flaps and rubber seals. Detailed instructions for proper sealing are available in the product user manual.
Key Sealing Requirement: Always ensure all port covers and rubber seals are pressed firmly into place until they are completely flush with the device body.
Inspection and Preventative Maintenance
Water ingress is almost exclusively caused by improperly closed or degraded seals. To protect your device:
- Regularly inspect all rubber port covers for dirt, debris, hardening, or physical damage.
- Ensure seals fit tightly. If a seal opens with minimal resistance or shows signs of wear, replace it promptly to maintain the device's water resistance.
If you suspect moisture has entered your device or need replacement seals, please contact customer support for assistance.
