Gloves Don't Work on Touchscreen

Believe it or not, you can make your non-touchscreen gloves touch-sensitive! Touchscreen gloves typically contain small wires in the fingertips that enable them to work with capacitive touchscreens like the one on our CI Pad. However, these wires can wear away after a few months of use. Fortunately, there are a couple of DIY fixes:

  1. Graphite Spray Method:

    • Obtain some dry graphite spray.
    • Spray the fingertips of your gloves that you want to make touch-sensitive.
  2. Graphite Powder Method:

    • Scrape a pencil on some sandpaper to create graphite powder. This may require multiple sharpenings.
    • Mix the graphite powder with a small amount of water to create a paste.
    • Dip the fingertips of your gloves into the mixture and let them dry.
    • This coating will remain touch-sensitive until it wears off. When it does, simply repeat the dipping process.
