Updating Android 11 operating system

Operating System Updates on CI Pad v4 and v4b (Android 11)

Operating system updates on CI Pad v4 and v4b running Android 11 are deployed through the standard Android infrastructure, rather than through the Manager app.

To check for updates and install them, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to System settings.
2. Select System.
3. Click on Additional system updates.

The update process may take some time. If it appears that nothing is happening, do not panic; the update is being processed in the background. Once the update is completed, you will be prompted to restart the CI Pad. The new operating system version will be applied during the next restart.

Important Notes:

• The update process is designed to be robust, allowing you to use the device normally while the update is in progress. To verify if the update has completed, you can return to the Additional system updates page in System settings.

• Battery Requirement: Ensure that the battery is charged to at least 50% before starting the update.

• Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is required; WiFi is recommended, as a significant amount of data will be downloaded during the update.
