Will a CARPE ITER controller fit my handlebars?

Yes, all CARPE ITER controllers are designed to be compatible with handlebar tubes that have a standard diameter of 22 mm (7/8"). This ensures that our controllers can be mounted on most motorcycles without requiring any modifications or additional hardware.

Required Handlebar Space for Controllers:

  • Adventure Control: Requires a minimum handlebar space of 22 mm.
  • Terrain Command (Nylon Buttons): Requires a minimum handlebar space of 18 mm.

When choosing the mounting location, we recommend placing the controller between the grip and the stock instrument panel. This position allows you to operate the buttons comfortably with your thumb while maintaining control of the handlebars. However, in some situations, placing the controller in this position may cause a limited range of movement for the clutch or brake lever. If you experience this issue, it can be resolved by adjusting the position of the lever or replacing it with a lever that has a different shape or bend. Detailed description may be found on the e-shop product page of the Adventure Control and Terrain Command.

For BMW motorcycles, the fitting process of the BMW-specific control is slightly different due to the unique design of the BMW handlebar setup. Detailed installation guidelines for the BMW controller, along with step-by-step instructions and compatibility notes, are available on the respective product page in our e-shop

If you are unsure about the compatibility of our controllers with your motorcycle or need advice on the best mounting location, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
