Kurviger doesn't work on CI Pad

Note: Hotfix for CI Pad v4 and v4b. A permanent global fix is implemented in the Android 11 system update.

Before You Begin

• Ensure your device battery is charged to at least 50%. It is strongly recommended to connect the device to a USB wall charger to prevent shutdown during the update.
• A substantial amount of data will be downloaded. Connect to a fast, stable Wi-Fi network before starting. Do not change or disconnect networks during the installation.
• The entire procedure takes approximately 15 minutes.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Download this file directly to your CI Pad storage (open this support article in the CI Pad web browser and tap the link).
2. Temporarily switch your default Home screen launcher from DMD2 to Lawnchair (pre-installed on CI Pad):
   • Go to System Settings and search for Home.
   • Tap Home app to open the default app selection.
   • Select Lawnchair. (You can revert to DMD2 using the same menu once finished.)
3. Open the Magisk application. If Magisk is not visible in the application list:
   1. Long-press an empty area on the home screen.
   2. Select Home settings.
   3. Go to App drawer.
   4. Tap Hidden apps and uncheck Magisk.
   5. Return to the home screen, swipe up to open the app drawer, and launch Magisk.
4. Navigate to the Modules tab in the bottom-right navigation bar.
5. Tap Install from storage, go to your Downloads folder, and select the ZIP file downloaded in Step 1.
6. The OpenWebView module will begin installation and prompt you to select a WebView implementation. Select Bromite (the first/default option).
7. The payload download will begin. Because of the large file size, downloading may take several minutes.

   Important: There is no real-time download progress bar. Please wait patiently while the process completes. Depending on connection speed, this may take 15 minutes or longer.

8. Do not operate the CI Pad while the module is installing. If the screen times out and turns black, you may wake it by pressing the Power button. Do not navigate away from the installation screen.
9. Once installation finishes, tap the prompt to Reboot your CI Pad.
10. After rebooting, install or update the Kurviger application.

Controller Support

To use Carpe Iter handlebar controllers with the updated Kurviger app, ensure you are running Controller app v2.81 or newer.

• CI Pad users: Update the Carpe Iter Manager app first (minimum version 5.2) before the new Controller app update becomes visible on the App Shelf.
• Google Play Store users: If an update is not yet displayed in the Play Store, please allow time for Google's staged rollout to reach your device.
