No Charging Through Pogo Pins

If your CI Pad charges normally via USB and the M8 connector but fails to charge through the pogo pins, the issue typically originates from one of the following causes:

Potential Causes and Solutions

1. Worn-Out or Dirty Pogo Pins:

   • Pogo pins contain moving spring-loaded parts that require periodic maintenance, including regular cleaning and lubrication. Lack of maintenance can cause the pins to stick or lose electrical contact.
   • Refer to the user manual for maintenance procedures.
   • If cleaning and greasing do not restore functionality, the pogo pins may need replacement. Replacement pin sets are available in our e-shop. Alternatively, you can power the unit directly using the M8 connector.

2. Damaged Wiring or Loose Connectors:

   • Inspect all cables and intermediate connectors for signs of physical damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
   • Applying dielectric contact grease (or high-quality white lithium grease) before reconnecting can help ensure reliable contact and prevent corrosion.

3. Bent or Misaligned Holder:

   • Verify that the holder is not bent or warped. A deformed holder prevents the pogo pins from achieving sufficient mechanical contact with the CI Pad's contact pads.
   • Inspect the assembly from the side: the pogo pins should fully compress and mate flush against the pad surface. If the holder is bent, realign it carefully or replace the damaged component.
