No Charging Through M8 Connector

If your CI Pad charges normally via USB and pogo pins but fails to charge through the M8 connector, the issue typically indicates damaged internal wiring caused by rotational strain or excessive twisting of the M8 cable.

Prevention Note: Always ensure the supplied M8 cable bracket is installed on your holder. The bracket provides necessary strain relief and prevents rotational movement of the cable while connected.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Verify the Power Supply:
    • If your setup does not utilize pogo pins, verify that the 12V power supply and wiring harness on your motorcycle are functioning correctly. Refer to the "No charging on motorcycle" FAQ before submitting a ticket.
  2. Confirm Internal Wiring Status:
    • If power delivery to the cable is confirmed and the CI Pad charges via USB/pogo pins but not M8, the internal connector wiring requires servicing.
  3. Submit a Support Ticket:
    • If troubleshooting points to internal wiring damage, please open a support ticket. State that you have tested alternative charging methods (USB/pogo pins) and were referred by this FAQ. Our team will provide instructions if the unit needs to be returned for repair.
