Gloves Not Working on Touchscreen

Carpe Iter devices utilize capacitive touchscreens, which require conductive contact to register touch inputs. Touchscreen-compatible motorcycle gloves typically incorporate conductive threading in the fingertips, which can degrade or wear away over time. Non-touchscreen gloves can be adapted or restored using the following methods:

Method 1: Dry Graphite Spray

1. Procure a commercial dry graphite spray lubricant/coating.
2. Apply the spray directly to the fingertips of the glove where screen contact is made.
3. Allow the coating to fully dry before use.

Method 2: Graphite Powder Paste (DIY)

1. Sand down a graphite pencil lead against fine-grit sandpaper to produce graphite powder.
2. Mix the collected graphite powder with a small amount of water to form a thick paste.
3. Apply or dip the glove fingertips into the mixture and allow them to dry completely.

Note: Conductive surface coatings are temporary and will gradually wear off with active riding. Reapply the graphite treatment as needed when touch sensitivity diminishes.
