No Charging Through Pogo Pins

If your CI Pad charges through USB and the M8 connector but not through the pogo pins, the issue likely stems from one of the following areas:

Potential Causes and Solutions

  1. Worn-Out Pogo Pins:

    • Pogo pins require regular maintenance, including cleaning and greasing. These moving parts function similarly to pistons in an engine. Running without proper maintenance can lead to failure.
    • We will post a more detailed maintenance guide soon. In the meantime, please refer to our user manual for more information.
    • If maintenance does not resolve the issue, the pogo pins may need to be replaced. They are available as spare parts in our eShop. Alternatively, you can continue using the M8 connector.
  2. Broken Wires or Loose Connectors:

    • Inspect all wires and connectors for damage. Consider applying contact grease to the connectors before reattaching them. If you don’t have specialized grease, quality white lithium grease will suffice.
  3. Bent Holder:

    • Ensure the holder is not bent, which can prevent proper mating of the pogo pins with the CI Pad. To check, look from the side of the holder. You should see a small gap where the pogo pins should be hidden when properly connected. If the holder is bent, attempt to straighten it or consider purchasing a replacement.

Additional Checks

If you do not have access to the M8 connector and need to determine whether the issue lies with the pogo pins or the overall charging system, please refer to the FAQ section for "No charging on motorcycle."
