No Charging
If your CI Pad does not charge, the issue is likely due to burnt charging circuitry. This can occur for two main reasons:
Common Causes:
Reversed Polarity:
- If you accidentally switched the polarity of the cables between the power source and the CI Pad—either by splicing the cables or attempting to shorten them—this can instantly damage the circuitry upon plugging in. Reversing the polarity will not resolve the issue, as the circuitry is already burnt.
Excess Voltage:
- Bypassing the power source and sending too high of a voltage to the charging port can also damage the charging circuitry. This can occur via the M8 cable, pogo pins, or by using a different USB charger than the one supplied with your order.
Important Notes:
- Both issues are understood to void your warranty and cannot be resolved remotely.
- If you are experiencing this problem, please file a support ticket. You will be required to send in your CI Pad along with the power source that was used prior to the malfunction.
