No Charging
If your CI Pad fails to charge, the internal charging circuitry is likely damaged. This typically occurs due to one of two main causes:
Common Causes
- Reversed Polarity: Accidentally reversing the cable polarity between the power source and the CI Pad (e.g., when splicing or shortening wires) causes immediate, permanent damage to the charging circuitry upon connection. Correcting the polarity afterward will not restore functionality once the circuit is burnt.
- Excess Voltage: Supplying voltage exceeding specified limits damages the charging circuitry. This can occur via the M8 connector, pogo pin interface, or by using an unapproved third-party charger instead of the supplied power supply.
Important: Hardware damage resulting from reversed polarity or overvoltage voids the manufacturer warranty and cannot be resolved remotely.
To proceed with repair, please submit a support ticket. You will be required to send in your CI Pad along with the power supply/cabling used prior to the malfunction for diagnostic inspection.
