No Charging Through M8 Connector
If the CI Pad is charging through the USB and pogo pins but not through the M8 connector, this issue is likely due to broken internal wiring within the CI Pad. Based on previous cases, this problem has commonly resulted from users twisting the M8 cable. To prevent this, we provide M8 cable brackets for the holder.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Check for Internal Wiring Issues:
- If the CI Pad charges via USB and pogo pins but not through the M8 cable, it's most likely that the internal charging wiring is damaged. This issue has always been linked to user error, specifically accidental twisting of the cable while connected to the CI Pad.
Use Cable Brackets:
- We recommend installing the supplied cable brackets on your holders to prevent excessive movement of the cable.
File a Support Ticket:
- If you are experiencing charging issues with the M8 connector, please file a support ticket. Indicate that you were referred to do so in our FAQs. You may need to send your unit in for repairs.
Check Power Supply (If No Pogo Pins):
- If you do not have pogo pins, verify that the power supply on your motorcycle is functioning correctly. Please refer to the "No charging on motorcycle" FAQ for additional guidance before filing a support ticket.
