For SIM, you need full size. If your SIM is already cut or comes in smaller size in the first place, there is an adapter included with every CI Pad. Do not use frames cut out of the original "credit card" style SIM carrier plate - the SIM could get stuck inside the port.
SIM needs to be inserted in correct orientation and pushed all the way in until it "clicks" in. You might need an object, such as a pen, to push it in. Do not use sharp tools or you might damage your SIM or the port.
Make sure you insert the SIM into correct port.
Procedure for SD Card is similar (push in until clicks).
