When combined with the Carpe Iter Rally Tripmaster HUB, the Terrain Command III allows you to control up to 2 Tripmaster units and an Android navigation device at the same time! No re-wiring needed, simply toggle between the external Rally Tripmaster, such as the ICO, and the usual GPS app control by flipping an on-screen software switch. Installation is completely plug-and-play.
The problem many riders face is a cluttered handlebar with too many different remotes for different devices. Carpe Iter provides the solution with a unified controller that bridges the gap between legacy rally hardware and modern digital power. Your leverage is a simplified cockpit that reduces cognitive load, allowing you to focus entirely on the track instead of searching for buttons.

Installation instructions:
Please install the Rally Tripmaster HUB with the Terrain Command III disconnected from power (the Terrain Command III automatically detects the presence of the Rally Tripmaster HUB when power is cycled). Please make sure that the firmware on the Terrain Command III is up-to-date. The actual function in terms of controlling the external rally tripmaster requires configuration in the on-screen interface in NGH, which is covered in a separate support article.
It is highly recommended to test the buttons and toggles' function before you finalize the assembly (put fairings or headlight back on your motorcyle and before securing the connectors). This is how: once you assembled all the parts, connect the Terraind Command to power and press each button and toggle - the status LED on the Terrain Command HUB will turn green while you press. If if doesn't or it stays green even without a button / toggle pressed, it means there is a mistake in your wiring.
It is highly recommended to secure all connectors with a thread-lock glue or black electricians tape after testing the funtion. There are a lot of shocks and vibrations in rally conditions, which could cause the connectors become undone.
Each Rally Tripmaster HUB connector carries a flag indicating the mating counterpart:
- Trip: mate the external Rally Tripmaster connector for the standard rally 3-button switch
- BTN: mate the Terrain Command III Nylon button section
- Tog: mate the Toggle Switch Adapter for Tripmaster HUB. The Toggle Switch Short or Toggle Switch Long mate with the Adapter. The Toggle Switch Adapter is only required for correct Toggle Switch function, when the toggle is connected to the Rally Tripmaster HUB. The adapter is NOT required, when the Toggle Switch is connected directly to the Terrain Command III HUB.
There are no interchangeable connectors - if you can't mate a connector, it means you are either trying to plug it into the wrong socket or the connector is in the wrong orientation (because the connectors are circular, there are small locking elements to ensure correct orientation when mating it).
The base component for the setup is the Terrain Command III HUB, which is available as part of the Terrain Command III kit or the Terrain Command Rally Kit.
The Toggle Switches are available as a kit that includes the CNC machined aluminum brackets, while the switches are also sold individually as spare parts (Toggle Switch Short, Toggle Switch Long). The CNC machined brackets come in two styles to compliment more traditional rally style (Type A) and for larger enduro bikes with large stock switchgear (Type B). Both these styles have sub-categories to accommodate practically any imaginable setup - for single toggle switch operated by thumb (classic rally style) or by index finger and for for dual toggle switches combining both thumb and index finger operation.
The Rally Tripmaster HUB is sold separately.

The use of the Toggle Switch(es) is optional. The Nylon Buttons are sufficient for basic control, but it is highly recommended to use also the Toggle Switch for optimal rally experience. You can map digigal rally roadbook control (scrolling up and down) to the Toggle Switch and get the complete pro-level racing experience.
