SIM Card not recognised

The most common reason for a SIM card not being recognized by CI Pad is bad contact between the SIM card inside the port. That most often happens, when a smaller size SIM is used with an adapter or the SIM card is worn or oxidated due to previous use. 

If you are having issues with SIM card recognition, please make sure the SIM card contact pads are not oxidated and / or test with a new full size SIM (without using an adapter). 

If your SIM card was already cut, most GSM operators offer free of charge replacement. When you get new SIM card, make sure you remove the largest available size from the SIM card carrier plate. That will prevent the need for an adapter. 

Generally it is not recommended to swap SIM card between CI Pad and your regular cell phone. Neither the SIM cards, nor the SIM card ports are designed for frequent replacement of the SIM. Frequent removal and re-installation of the SIM card can result in premature failure of the SIM card and/or the SIM card slot. 

Most GMS operators offer cloned (dual) SIM cards (two physical SIM cards with identical cell number). If you want to use the same SIM card in both your cell phone and CI Pad, we recommend to use such a cloned / dual SIM card. Such a card can reside inside the CI Pad permanently and all that needs to be done to switch the cellular function to CI Pad from your regular cell phone is putting your cell phone into flight mode and activating cellular connection on CI Pad (and vice versa, in case you want to switch back to your cell phone). 

Flight mode is independent from Wifi and Bluetooth connection - when you put CI Pad into airplane mode to be able to use your cell number on your regular phone, you can turn on WiFi and Bluetooth manually, while the cellular connection will be kept in airplane mode. 

To turn WiFi and Bluetooth on (or off) independently from the airplane mode, swipe down on CI Pad screen to reveal settings short cuts and tap on the WiFi and Bluetooth icons.
