Rattling of the holder lock

CI Pad Holder Lock Vibration & Rattle

On certain motorcycles at specific engine RPM ranges, the locking mechanism of the CI Pad holder may vibrate or rattle. Do not attempt to resolve this by overtightening the nut.

Required Hardware

Install a curved/wave spring washer meeting the following specification:

• Standard / Dimension: DIN 137A M8 (8.4 mm inner diameter) or equivalent
• Material: Galvanized spring steel

Important: Always use spring steel. Standard stainless steel washers lack the required spring elasticity/temper to absorb vibrations properly.

Assembly Instructions

1. Assemble the lock mechanism as illustrated in the reference image below.
2. Apply threadlocker (medium strength) to properly secure the nut in position.
